Hi all – just a quick update. Sally is being admitted after spending the morning and afternoon in MSK’s Urgent Care. We brought her in very early this morning after having nausea and vomitting for 12 straight hours.
Since being here, she has thrown up on both Nicole and I, and more strangely hasn’t peed despite receiving a ton of IV fluids. She has tenderness in her stomach and is swollen. We attempted a new drug Adivan which made Sally very hyper and drugged but didn’t help with her nausea.
Her blood also reveals high liver enzymes which means she may have a virus. Our Leukemia team wants her admitted in order to keep an eye on her and make sure she’s staying hydrated.
Oh no! Hopefully, she feels less nauseated soon and starts peeing for you guys.
(also in case you’re wondering, my husband Joe and I used to see Nicole at PhysioLogic and we’re close by, so if you need anything at all in Brooklyn or at MSK, please let us know).

Sorry….hope she feels better soon – for all your sakes! Geez, you guys are amazing!!! I am in awe of your strength and devotion…almost all of us could handle it,,if forced….but not with your positive,strong ways. Sally is a lucky girl to have you and Nicole!! When she is all better you just won’t know what to do with yourselves! May God keep all your strengths up thru this battle
