Hi all – Sally had a good day, although not as much energy as yesterday. Nicole had to work, so I spent the day using the feeding tube to push milk into her manually. Sally threw up last night and this morning, so we took it slow and gradually increased over the day as her stomach is adjusting to having fluids in it again. This worked well and she was able to take a good amount of fluids in the second half of the day without any issues.

Thank god my sister was here, Sally wouldn’t nap for me but passed out on her twice so was able to get some rest. It’s also easier to feed her with two people when Sally’s moving around a lot.

I got to take Sally out for a walk today, however the good stroller was in the car with Nicole, which meant I had to take the tiny umbrella stroller. So try picturing 6ft 7in me walking down the street hunched over pushing a stroller that’s below my waste containing Sally with her nose tube. We got plenty of looks, but was very amused by it and mostly received smiles. We did have a woman shout “Hey Superstar Sally, how are you doing?” which was a reminder that even folks we don’t know in the neighborhood are becoming aware of Sally’s fight, which brought a smile from me.

Other than that, today was mostly focusing on getting used to the feeding tube, which we’ll have to relearn on Wednesday when Sally get the permanent once installed. Thomas got to attend a birthday party, and to be fair I took William out for some ice cream. Nicole is enjoying a much needed night out this evening, she hasn’t been out since all this started so needed the break. Please keep Sally in your thoughts and prayers.
