Hi all – According to Nicole, who was home with Sally, she was very sleepy and didn’t have much energy all day. Even during the brief time I saw her this morning, she just wanted to lay on me. Sally had a bit of a reaction and was rubbing her eyes, so Nicole gave her some meds to counter this which explains some of the lack of energy. At one point Nicole was standing next to me and I thought she was going forward reaching for her, but Nicole said she was falling asleep and falling forward. She did this a couple times today.

Our visiting nurse came by and reviewed Sally’s medicines. She thought some of the painkillers may be a bit high, so she suggested lessening the dose on some. We’ll have to see how she does tomorrow, which is Daddy Day. Nicole heads off to work at the crack of dawn and won’t be back til late afternoon. My sister can’t come this weekend so I’ll be flying solo with the three kids, god help me.

Tomorrow night Nicole and I will head into the city for the fundraiser at McFadden’s. We want to apologize in advance if we don’t get to speak with everybody. We know there will be many faces, new and old, that we’ll want to chat with and will be a challenge. We are very much looking forward to getting out for a bit.

For those who have been following for awhile you’ll remember that we had some awesome roommates that traveled all the way from Singapore to receive treatment at MSK. They were one of our first roommates after Sally’s diagnosis and their daughter took a liking to Sally. Ariane is just beginning a bone marrow transplant process that will take several weeks. On Sally’s birthday she was able to wave and sing happy birthday to her through her window as she is in isolation for this entire process.

Please keep her in your prayers as she goes through this challenging treatment, as well as our sweet little girl and all the kids at MSK.
